- How much do your plans cost?
Any plan you choose from Carter Home Designs site will cost between $600 and $1000, depending on square footage: $600 for plans up to 1500 square feet, $800 for up to 2000 square feet, and $1000 for plans over 2000 square feet. Modifications can be made to any plan. Prices to create new custom design plans are quoted individually.
- How many modifications can I make to a plan?
As many as it takes within reason. Designing your new home is a collaborative process. One or two rounds of revisions are normal, but sometimes the process can take up to three or four rounds for more complex plans.
- What is included in your plans?
Carter Home Plans provides all 4 elevations, floor layouts, typical wall section and window schedule. All structural information will be on plans as well.
- Can I see 3-D images of my house?
Yes. Our software can product photo realistic views. If you want some basic 3-D perspectives that is no problem; however, there is a fee for the more detailed renderings,
- What is the time frame like to get plans drawn up?
The time frame depends on you. Once you settle on your house design along with any modifications, Carter Home Plans can have the plan ready within 48 hours.
- Are you available to meet with my Contractor if needed?
Absolutely. Carter Home Plans actually started operations in home construction and contracting. Time is money. We can visit the building site or take a phone call if needed.
- Are your plans accepted in all jurisdictions in the Province?
Carter Home Designs has prepared plans for clients all over Newfoundland and Labrador as well as other parts of Canada.
- Do you offer in-person consultations?
Yes we do offer in-person design consultations from our office in St. John’s.
- Can I build the plans in reverse?
Yes - most plans can be ordered with a readable reverse option. The layout will be flipped and all text and dimensions will be readable.
- Do I own the copyright to the plans?
